Carl D. Vertregt D.D.S.
Everyone feels comfortable around Dr. Vertregt, and for good reason. His honesty, friendly personality and professional expertise help him build lasting relationships with people throughout the community.

Dr. Vertregt is naturally outgoing and likes getting to know patients on a personal level. He genuinely listens to each patient, making concerns about their smile his priority. He also wants patients to be in control of their dental health, so he provides full details and explanations with every diagnosis.

A native of Grosse Pointe, Dr. Vertregt attended Western Michigan University and the University of Detroit Dental School. He also served in the U.S. Navy for four years. Dr. Vertregt is an avid outdoorsman, and enjoys living in the Lake Michigan area. He and his wife Sherrye have two grown daughters, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.



 

Brenda - Office Manager & Financial and Insurance Coordinator

Brenda has been taking care of dental patients for more than 29 years, and her commitment to exceptional care is obvious. "I try to do my best to help patients with appointments that mesh with their schedules and their lives," she said. Brenda also assists patients by helping them understand their financing options and answering questions. "I'm just a phone call away," she added.
But the best part of Brenda's job is seeing how great dental care changes lives. "I love to see the difference in a patient's smile from start to finish, and what a difference it makes in them personally," she said.
In her free time, Brenda enjoys spending time with her husband of 28 years and her four children. She also likes to swim, take long walks, sew and watch movies.

 

 Lindsay - Registered Dental Hygienist

Lindsay joined the staff of Port City Dental in the spring of 2011. She graduated from Ferris State University in 2003 and has a strong devotion to her patients." I love helping my patients to take better care of their total body health".Lindsay and herhusband reside in North Muskegon along with their two Springer Spaniels. She is an outdoor enthusiast, who loves running and hiking through the State Parks and she also enjoys Salmon fishing in the big lake.

Mary - Dental Assistant

With 30 years of experience in dentistry, Mary knows how to care for her patients. She especially enjoys taking care of families, and helping people improve their smiles, health and self-confident. She hopes our patients  recognize how much we want their experience to be one of trust, confidence and sincere care. She also believes that we are a professional office providing advanced care,and  a relaxed and friendly atomsphere that helps patients feel at ease. When she's not working , she enjoys spending time with family, the outdoors, taking walks and enjoys nature. She's also a Hockey fan - Go Wings!

Becka - Dental Assistant

Becka first began dental assisting in 2001. She left the profession for a few years to work as an EMT. Her love for a beautiful smile brought her back to dentistry. She joined the Port City team in the spring of 2011. She is married , has two sons of her own and three stepsons , and a great cat named "patrick". Becka loves the water , canoeing, swimming and just enjoying the "sunshine".

Katie - Office Administrator

Katie has been helping at the front desk since 2007.  She will be one of the voices you hear on the phone when you call. She enjoys helping and talking with patients. She is currently attending Grand Valley State University for a bachelors degree in Therapeutic Recreation. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She loves to read, cook, and play guitar .
